BETWEEN US

Between Us explores childhood as a fleeting state protected by the relationships and community that create the environment in which childhood can flourish. The work reflects on how the essence of who we are as children lingers within us even as adulthood moves us forward. Beyond the moment itself, the work invites consideration of what these figures represent within the broader experience of childhood itself.

The secret shared between the child and her companion remains intentionally unknown, leaving the viewer to speculate, but never to know.

This is a one of a kind monumental work, never to be reproduced making this interpretation a singular piece within Blake Harnett's body of work.
